Letterpress printing

Letterpress is unlike any modern printing technique and the difference can instantly be seen and felt. This centuries old art form results in a beautiful tactile impression into the paper. Fine letterpress work delivers a crisp impression into the paper, giving greater visual definition to the artwork.

Meet Staccato Press

Staccato Press is a husband and wife team founded on the belief that letterpress printing should remain a part of our digital online world. We print the old fashioned way using antique cast iron machines, luxuriously thick cotton paper, and a whole lot of love. Because every piece of paper is hand-fed into the press machine, it is challenging physical work that celebrates the subtle differences inherent in hand-made art. We value craftsmanship and perfection, and we cannot imagine printing any other way.

Wilson Thomas is our pressman, perfectionist, and breakfast sandwich chef. After a 10 year career working as a art/band/theater teacher, Wilson had a yearning to explore art in a more personal way.  Tapping into his love for printing he decided to explore the craftsmanship of letterpress. As a result, he found an art that allows him to utilize his eye for detail, color, and design.

Anne Thomas is our technology buff, production assistant and social media manager. She runs another business as a wedding gown seamstress and loves the tactile and visual artistry of letterpress. Anne loves all things wedding related, and enjoys working with our gorgeous wedding couples.
